In December, Dave and I were on a SOWER project, , at Realife Camp in Vero Beach, FL For Christmas, We met up with our son, Adam, his wife Rebekah and our grandson Caleb, at an R V resort in Titusville, FL.

For us, there was a little confusion between the Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral. Which one is what? Well, according to Wikipedia and the easiest way for me to understand and explain it is this from Wikipedia:”Cape Canaveral, officially Cape Kennedy from 1963 to 1973, lies east of Merritt Island, separated from it by the Banana River. It is part of the region known as the Space Coast and is the site of the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. Cape Kennedy is located on Merritt Island. The Cape Canaveral Space Force Station is home to the United States Air Force Space Command’s 45th Space Wing where many rocket launches take place.

SpaceX ( Space Exploration Technologies Corporation ) is owned by Elon Musk and has launched several satelites into space from Cape Canaveral.

There are a few sites you can go to about launch schedules, but keep in mind, they change frequently for one reason or another. And be sure to check where the launch is taking place. Not all of them are in Florida.

SpaceX launch schedule can be found at:

Cape Canaveral launch schedule can be found at

And, the Kennedy Space Center schedule can be found at

At the time we were there, there were no launches scheduled. We stayed at an R V Resort only a few miles a way and purchased the two day tickets.

There are multiple options in ticket purchase. You can purchase tickets that include transportation from nearby cities or hotels; tickets that include a visit to ICON Park; one with an Airboat Ride on the St. John’s River’ one including an Orlando City Pass and you can buy just a one or two day pass to the Kennedy Space Center. The best way to check ticket prices and availability is to go to
