We just completed another month at the Realife – Vero Beach Camp SOWER project. And, again, it’s been a great project. http://www.Realife.org. Up until today, Saturday, the 17th, the weather has been warm and at times hot. Right now, Weather Bug says it’s 65.
Realife Camps have two locations, one is in Vero Beach where we are now. The second location is called Realife-Blue Springs and is located in Marianna, Florida. The SOWER organization https://sowerministry.org/ has connected with Christian non-profit organizations around the U S and Canada and provides the opportunities for RVers to stay and to assist the organizations in whatever needs to be done in the three week time frame. SOWERS can stay in their R V parks for a week longer than the work time frame in order to tour the local areas. This time we chose to stay for two months and we worked with a different group of SOWERS each month. It’s fun to meet and get to know other like minded couples, full-time RVers or part-timers both. It’s great to get to know them but it’s sad too when everyone splits off and goes on to their next destination.
This past month, we, as a group, completed SO many projects to help prepare the campus for the youth and adults that will be coming here for camps and retreats.
Rather than post a list, I’m going to post a few pictures just to give you an idea of the work accomplished.
Since, SOWERS, work 4 days per week, for three weeks, there was plenty of time to take in some of the Christmas decorations along with our visit to the beach and the Farmers Market.
One of the local churches does a huge annual Christmas event. Besides the live Nativity, Carriage rides, hay rides, and all the other things, they had this snow tube slide. Since we lived many years in the North, it was fun to watch people in shorts and t-shirts sliding on this home-made snow.

In our travels, Dave and I met a wonderful couple, who are coaching us in transitioning our Here-n-There.net blog to a Website, Facebook page, Instagram and YouTube Channel with the new name of EscapingNormalRV. As soon as the transition is complete http://www.here-n-there.net will go away. In the meantime you may see some posts with that name.
