In the last post you may have learned more about the history of Pensacola. In this one, I’ll be highlighting some of the things that make Pensacola a great place to visit.

Let’s start first with the festivals. There are so many festivals throughout the year.

The 3rd Friday of the month, most of the streets in downtown Pensacola are blocked off for Gallery Night

Shops remain open. Vendors and Artists line the streets. Musicians perform on stages set up in different areas. This past one was themed to honor the Blue Angels. A few members of their team were in attendance posing for pictures and signing autographs.

Starting on the first Tuesday in April and ending on the last Tuesday in October, you can enjoy Bands on the Beach as they perform at the Gulfside Pavilion on Pensacola Beach.

There are so many places, events, festivals and restaurants to enjoy in Pensacola. Here’s a few. In my next post, I’ll highlight some of my favorites.

Pictured above are just a few. There’s so much more -The Five Flags Speedway and their well known Snowball Derby; The New Year’s Day Polar Plunge on Pensacola Beach; The minor league hockey team The Pensacola Ice Pilots, Blues Fest, City Lights Fest, Cinemas in the Sand, Taste of the Beach, The Swim, Bike, Run Triathalon at the Beach, McGuires annual 5k run, Multiple parades, and the annual New Year’s Eve Pelican Drop.
